Control Team Update

The control group has decided to go with an Insteon compatible system as outlined in our engineering report last semester. For next week, every member of the team will design a $5,000 system focused on the following points:
Lighting- Timers, occupancy sensors
Energy Monitoring – Desire to be able to stream the values online
Temperature Monitoring and Humidity Control – Ability to see upcoming weather
Appliances- monitoring and control, max energy cap
Security- Door and window sensors, for both security and energy saving purposes
If anyone else would like to participate in this exercise and help pick out the system, please join us Tuesday at 6:00 in the Everitt student lounge, or send us a design beore then.
Also, in the future we may need people with programming experience, so if you're interested, please let us know.
